Programs and events
Access our on-campus or in-school experiences for your students.
Inspiring
(and real)
role models
Our programs are run by current university students who come from a variety of pathways and have similar backgrounds to students from our partner schools.
Practical
hands-on
learning
Interactive activities engage students and allow them to discover for themselves that tertiary study is an option.
Partnerships with schools, families and communities
We work collaboratively with families, schools and communities, and are led by their knowledge and expertise.
Access programs and scholarships
Information about alternative entry pathways and financial support is embedded in all of our programs.
Resources for parents and carers
The Carer & Parent Engagement and Adult Learner (CPEAL) project seeks to educate and increase caregiver engagement in their child's world of work and career development, as well as promote Adult Learner education pathways for those looking to pursue further education as part of their own career development.
Student stories
Our programs are led by QUT students with similar backgrounds to students from our partner schools.
Many of them participated in our programs as school students and have been inspired by that experience to become student ambassadors themselves.
How we got here
QUT has a long-standing commitment to widening participation.
We are also the lead institution for the Queensland Statewide Consortium, a collaboration of eight public universities and the Department of Education to undertake a range of widening participation activities.
Pasifika students
We deliver a range of culturally appropriate initiatives aimed at enhancing Pasifika school students' educational outcomes and higher education aspirations.
Resources
Our team has collated resources from a variety of sources to help you explore careers and pathways, and to assist with learning from home.
