About Us

[Print-friendly version]

project u is an initiative of Queensland's public universities and produced by the QUT.

What is project u?

project u is an initiative to encourage prospective students from low-income backgrounds to consider university study as a post-school option.

Many of Queensland's public universities have collaborated to produce information that encourages all students to think about going to uni - regardless of which uni they attend.

project u is different from other career resources because it the information is from real students. The aim being to encourage students who might not think uni is for them to consider uni as one of their post-school options.

The content focuses on issues facing students at years 10-12 in making decisions about their future - including higher education. It also aims to demystify issues in the decision-making process such as course choices, getting in, costs, levels of support, managing stress, setting goals and staying motivated.

The result is an interactive DVD and website about students and for students. The DVD features unique animation, original music, interviews and other cool stuff for prospective students, parents and guidance officers.

Request a DVD or contact us for more information at askus@projectu.com.au.
