Terms and Conditions

The Terms and Conditions of the project u competition comply with the Queensland Office of Gaming Regulation under the Charitable and Non-Profit Gaming Act 1999 (Category 4 Promotional Games).

This promotion is conducted by the Queensland University of Technology’s Equity Section under the project u campaign.

Entry to this competition is free via the project u website and open to all high school students currently enrolled (except the students of QUT employees). Entries close at midnight on 31 October, 2007.

To enter, entrants must complete the compulsory fields pertaining to personal details (for the purposes of contacting winners).

Entrants do not have to be present at the draw. Prize winners will be notified by mail and must respond within one month from date of notification. Prizes which remain unclaimed after this time will be redrawn on 2 November 2007. Prizes will be delivered to winners by registered mail.

Details of winners will be published on the website (published details will only include first initial, last name, town or suburb and state only).

Prizes

The prize values are as follows:

Specs: Toshiba Satellite Pro A120 (Processor: 1.86GHz; Memory: 1 GB DDR 533 Expandable to 4GB; HD: 80 GB 5400 rpm)

Major prize: Notebook computer package valued at $1500

Your notebook also comes with: 2007 MS Office Home and Student Software; Lexmark All-in-one Colour Printer; Targa Carry Bag; Internet Security Suite and Surge Arrest outlet

Second prize: One of 4 Sony PSP (Playstation portable) consoles and game valued at $350 each from EB Games (Queens Plaza, Brisbane).

project u will only use your personal information for the following purposes:

  1. to provide you with a copy of the project u DVD. This information is only used if you tick the release box in order for us to send you your free DVD.
  2. If you tick the box to receive email updates we will add you to our email update list. You can remove yourself from this list by contacting the project u team at askus@projectu.com.au
  3. To record information based on the fields listed to determine the origin of requests for the DVD. This information is for data collection only and will not be used for other purposes without your permission.
